1per customer , repress from the debut album from slovenian act videosex. while little known outside of the former yugoslavia, videosex’s self-titled debut album from 1984 sold in significant numbers, making superstars of the young slovenian musicians responsible for making it. the set not only helped turn yugoslavian teenagers on to the possibilities of western-style electronic pop, but also inspired them via satirical, often explicit lyrics. their debut performance at the novi rock festival in ljubljana lead to an immediate contract offer from slovenia’s biggest record label. it wasn’t long before the band were holed up in studio top ten in ljiublana recording what would become their debut album. they effectively moved in to the studio for days and weeks on end, clocking up well over 200 hours of recording time in which they mixed experimentation with a desire to polish each song to perfection. the result is their first album which includes nine songs touching a variety of sexually charged subjects including erotica, lesbianism, voyeurism and sadism.

jack roland pulls apart the control mechanisms of the club environment and the way this living and breathing installation can be a tool of elevation or suppression. using club sounds as instruments for this idea, control / applications is a split release born out of amsterdam s warehouse scene, fusing together electro matrix rhythms, idm, with warped hums and breaks used by dancers and performers heading up the rave. with a track on our future works iii comp last year, this is his debut record on the label: a release challenging superstructures buried among the sweat particles of the floor.

two miscreants of uk electronics have been drafted in by shipwrec for a 12- of techno debauchery. richard bevan and joshu doherty, aka posthuman, have been addicted to acid from their first contact with the caustic and cruel chords of the tb303. since then the two cousins have gone on to curate 10 years of i love acid as well as doling out some toxic classics of their own. the duo deliver the soured goods once again, starting the audio anarchy with the ominously titled -netflix and kill-. drum patterns are gnarled and nasty in this slow burning jacker where basslines boil over into a thick syrup of late night revelry. the flip is taken over by the bullying sounds of -the damocles syndicate.- the track rumbles with venomous menace. coils of 303 spite bulge and contract under the strict resolve of a stern beat in this ready made floor filler. two helpings from two malevolent masters of the silver box.

jono ma (of jagwar ma) and angus gruzman (of dreems, die orangen) present “the dreemas”. recorded between their studios in industrial north london and the rogue outskirts of berlin, the dreemas is an electronic cryogenic stasis of two life-long friends in varying states of crisis, conversion and transcendence in the year 2017. two minds and hearts coalesced into an ocean of sound, the groundwork formed with over a decade of instinctive studio sessions, sweat-riddled dj conferences, and shoulder-to-shoulder dance dos in clubs, pubs and dusty down under doofs. they’ve spent endless hours together at the bottom of salty oceans gazing up at alien aquatic life forms. for years they’ve shared synthesisers across continents, exchanged records, lived together, flown together and bleed together. and at long last they have signed a contract that says they will “techno together”. the past presents the future, and the future presents the past on this soul-state snapshot of 2 friends encapsulated in the epoch of a 12”.

after thelma ended her contract with motown, she went to work with terry woodford to record a set of tracks for her next album. unfortunately it didn t happened and the tracks was shelved for 36 years. until now. smooth breezy soulful aor with the wishbone inc signature sound, (byrne and barnes, robert byrnem mac mcanally and others) remastered and released on vinyl for the first time.

four never before released or publicly available demo cuts from the writing sessions of craig peyton and jolyon skinner circa 1983-1985. the duo produced and wrote hits for artists in between working on their own projects. these songs survived the past 30 years on a cassette tape, which was lovingly transferred for this exclusive to peyton records release. after their short but fruitful collaborative period, peyton went on as a writer and band leader and skinner went on to have a career as a songwriter for pop acts such as joe, nsync, and freddie jackson. in the words of craig peyton: “jolyon skinner and i met in the early ’80s through our mutual friend keith diamond (the trinidadian producer of hits such as “caribbean queen” by billy ocean). after we met, jolyon and i started regular writing sessions at my nyc p-factor studio. our first break came in 1983 with howard johnson’s “let this dream be real-. that was followed up with “love of a lifetime” by melba moore and “where ya gonna be tonight” for will collins. after this we were offered a recording deal by april blackwood music, but due to my contract with profile records at the time we couldn’t accept it. shortly after skinner got signed to zomba and we stopped writing together around 1985.

at sneaky we are very pleased to welcome g.markus. what can we say about him? not much apart from the fact that he makes super groovy old-skool house beats like not many can these days. spreading perverted twistedness mixed with great classic housey vocals, ‘smoking hut’ will be how your dance floor will end up when you play this record out. recently also known for releasing great re-edits on soul clap records and as part of s.h.a.g edits va on roots for bloom. what else can we say? well, not much, really. g insisted on having a clause on the contract that clearly states that his true identity shall not be revealed. all we can say is that he’s a real mofo and that you’d be better off listening to his music instead of to this silly banter…

soren jahan is a 23 year old ithaca based producer known as half of b-tracks and a founder member of supply records. on his debut lp as rene audiard he drops seven varied techno tracks. the productions all bear audiards trademark rough texture and stripped down aesthetic. ranging between stark dubs, lo-fi house, upfront kraut-style techno to beautiful ambient soundscapes, this album is a strong entrance for the young artist.
